The Loxwood Neighbourhood Plan is possibly the most important single document regarding the future of our village today. The policies set out in the Plan identify what the community want with regard to the future development of Loxwood.
Revised NP 2019
The first meeting of the Steering Group took place on 11th April 2019 and monthly meetings are to continue. Regular reports will be made at Parish Council meetings on the progress of the revisions to the Plan to enable the residents to keep abreast of what is happening. Please check the minutes from Parish Council meetings above for a summary of the report
At the Public meeting on 9th December 2018 Residents voted unanimously for the Parish Council to updated the Loxwood Neighbourhood Plan in line with the Chichester District Council’s (CDC) revised Local Plan Policies. It was acknowledged that this may involve a requirement for the further allocation of sites for housing in Loxwood. Residents felt that Loxwood should be responsible for allocating sites, should this become necessary, rather than for this to be carried out at District level. The presentation from this public meeting is available HERE
Since the public meeting the Parish Council have written a letter commenting on the proposed revisions to the CDC Local Plan and this can be viewed HERE Comments on these proposals to revise the Local Plan can be made on the Chichester District Council website until 7th February 2019 at 5pm.
