Department for Health & Social Care (DHSC): the Chief Medical Officer for England confirms each incident Public Health England (PHE): co-ordinate the response, information and advice on the Coronavirus (Covid-19) NHS: local and national NHS services are working on the front line to test individuals, and provide advice through calls to NHS 111 West Sussex County Council: provides local public health leadership by working in partnership to safeguard the county. They are working with system partners via the LHRP (Local Health Resilience Partnership) and LRF (Local Resilience Forum) to ensure appropriate application of the Sussex pandemic Plan. They are also responsible for the Vulnerable People’s Plan. Government advice is constantly being updated and so we would advise you to keep referring to these sources. Our website will update residents and businesses on any disruption to our services and signpost people to key information and advice. Are you in need of transport to a medical appointment? We are a small charity, known as the Loxwood & Alfold Relief in Sickness Fund (LARISF). Available to ALL residents of Loxwood & Alfold. We provide transport to medical appointments to those who have no access to a means of transportation. All we ask for is a small donation towards our running costs. Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group Call for Sites The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group is working on an updated and revised Neighbourhood Plan to take into account the requirement by Chichester District Councils requirement for additional housing in Loxwood published in their emerging Local Plan. Accordingly, the Steering Group is issuing a “Call for Sites”. Each new site put forward to the Steering Group will be assessed against a strict set of criteria so that the best sites are chosen for any new development. Once the site assessment has taken place, extensive consultation will take place within the Parish. The Site Proposers' nomination and information form is available to download. The next meeting of the Flood Forum will be held on 13th November 11.30am Mursell Room North Hall
This meeting is to discuss the results of the hydrological surveys carried out by the Consultant Water Environment with a view to establishing the best work to be undertaken to have maximum impact for flood mitigation. All residents with an interest in the matter are invited. Please let the Clerk know clerk@loxwood-pc.gov.uk if you are intending to come along. Representatives from West Sussex County Council, Chichester District Council and the consultants Water Environment will be present as well as members of the Parish Council. The Parish Council has received a reply to its July letter (see below) from Southern Water. You can read the reply here.

OFWAT/ Water Council. The Parish Council after a series of meetings with Senior Infrastructure Managers from Southern Water has felt compelled to write to Ofwat and the Water Council regarding the situation that exists in Loxwood with the sewerage from extra development being added to an already overloaded system. The letter is available to read HERE. This letter has been copied to our MP Gillian Keagan and also the CEO of Chichester District Council.
Giant Hogweed on verges and public footpaths should be reported to West Sussex County Council 01243 642105 who have a spraying operation on going in early summer to kill this non native plant before it seeds. Plants on private land are the responsibility of land owners who can get help from the environment agency as to how to deal with this plant.0800 80 70 60.
