WHICH ARE YOUR FAVOURITE GREEN SPACES? As we continue to work on the Neighbourhood Plan, we have the opportunity to identify Local Green Spaces that are valued by the community and should be given a degree of protection as a result. A list of potential Local Green Spaces was identified several years ago and is now being reviewed:
Jubilee Gardens Land at North Hall Nursery Green Loxwood Sports Association Land South of Farm Close. The criteria set out in the National Planning Policy Framework are that the space should be: (a) in reasonably close proximity to the community it serves; (b) demonstrably special to a local community and holds a particular local significance, for example because of its beauty, historic significance, recreational value (including as a playing field), tranquillity or richness of its wildlife; and (c) local in character and is not an extensive tract of land. Do these sites meet those criteria? Please let us know by 31st March 2025. Are there other green spaces that you would like to see protected and which meet the criteria? Please let us know your thoughts by contacting the Clerk. [email protected]
